Congrats, Fall Grads!

Last week, we had six students graduate with either a minor or a certificate in Leadership Studies. We are so proud of all the work they’ve done to achieve this great accomplishment! Read about the plans of two of our grads below, and our student intern.

Leadership Studies Graduates

  • Braden Fels

    ISU student, and Leadership Studies minor, Braden Fels.Major & Minor:

    Political Science major with a minor in Leadership Studies.

    Future plans and what LDST has taught you:

    I plan on getting a Master’s Degree in Student Affairs. One lesson from the LDST program I learned was a great dive into leadership theory and the different reasons why people lead as they do.

  • JJ Wilson

    ISU student, and Leadership Studies minor, JJ Wilson.Major & Minor:

    Communication Studies major with a minor in Leadership Studies.

    Future plans and what LDST has taught you:

    After graduation, I will be a missionary both in the US and Botswana. And I will be using the interpersonal communication skills I learned to be a more intentional and effective communicator with others!

  • Brayden Finley

    ISU student, and Leadership Studies intern, Brayden Findley.Majors & Minor:

    Public Relations and Political Science majors with a minor in Spanish.

    Future plans and what LDST has taught you:

    I am currently undecided on what I am doing after graduation, but I am on the job hunt and hoping to travel! During my time at Iowa State and the LDST department, I have met so many great people who have taught me how to be a better teammate and communicator. The connections I have made and the lessons I have learned will stay with me as I move forward, regardless of where my career takes me.
