What are your career plans after graduation?

Early Career Development Program (rotational program) with emphasis on product development engineering at HNI.

What other goals do you have for your life after graduation (hobbies, travel, self-improvement, etc.)?

Continuing to build my woodworking business.


What was your favorite Leadership Studies class? Why?

LD ST 422, practicing leadership is so much more impactful than any other form I have experienced. Having this class in person and facing true controversy and leadership with classmates was a delight and a great learning experience.


How do you feel Leadership Studies has made an impact on you?

I think that the leadership studies program has given me an opportunity to practice and grow on the the soft skills that are required when working in a team in industry.


After your time in the program, what is your definition of leadership?

Being the catalyst for positive change for a team and its members both internally and externally.


What activities, clubs, or groups were you a member of at ISU?

Freshman Leaders in Engineering (FLiE).


What awards, recognition, accomplishments, or scholarships did you receive while attending Iowa State University?

Award for Competitive Excellence.


What would you say to someone considering a Leadership Studies minor or certificate?

Yes, do it. It costs no extra tuition and employers love it. Additionally, the personal growth is unmatched.
